If you find it difficult to have a solid meal in the morning, make a smoothie instead.
Not only does a smoothie look good and is delicious and easy to make, it is also very healthy. You can vary it according to your taste to make it as filling as you like, but be careful not to over-sweeten it, as the fruit alone will make it quite sweet.
It is worth starting the day with a smoothie, even though you might not get your optimal daily calorie intake with breakfast. A smoothie is just enough to keep you energised until midday. It is the best to use Greek yoghurt to make your smoothie, as it is much healthier than other types of yoghurt. You can also mix Greek yoghurt into cakes, especially into soft fruitcakes, for an irresistible texture.
You will also need fruit to make a smoothie, and blueberries are the perfect choice. Not only do these rich-flavored berries improve memory, but they are also an excellent antioxidant, a germ killer and lower bad cholesterol levels in the blood. They have a significant vitamin content, including vitamins B1, C, D, potassium, magnesium, manganese, zinc and phosphorus.
