When Mandy Klentz realized that it was possible to remove tendons from chicken breast with just a fork and a paper towel, she felt she needed to share the trick with the world right away. The video, which she uploaded to TikTok, has already been seen by more than 4 million people.
The method is so simple that it’s almost unbelievable no one seems to have discovered it before. All you need is a fork and some material you can use to grab the slippery meat (such as paper towels).
The steps are as follows:
Place the end of the tendon between two teeth of the fork.
Grasp the end of the tendon with a paper towel, as it is likely to be slippery.
Push the fork down and pull the tendon out of the chicken breast.
