If you make French fries in an air fryer, you need to use hardly any oil.
You can prepare the perfect French fries at home, and with very little oil, in an air fryer. Classic French fries, also available in fast food restaurants, require only ten minutes more preparation time than opening a bag of frozen product. A perfect side dish with fried meat or any kind of fried food.
French fries in an air fryer
Ingredients
- 750 g potatoes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Spices to taste
Preparation
Peel the potatoes and cut them into strips. If you use thin-skinned potatoes, you can even leave the skin on. In a bowl, sprinkle the cut potatoes with a teaspoon of salt and two tablespoons of oil.
You can also use other spices, such as rosemary or thyme, and replace the sunflower oil with olive oil. Flatten a thin layer of potatoes in the air fryer and fry for 12-15 minutes. Fry the potatoes in several batches, always only enough so that they do not overlap.
Enjoy fresh with meat, vegetable loaf or ketchup.
