Aloe vera is used in many recipes and herbal treatments, as it brings numerous benefits for the skin and digestive system. We invite you to discover how you can use aloe vera and how to prepare an absolutely delicious breakfast smoothie.
First of all, you must know that not every plant in the aloe vera family is fit for consumption. Only Aloe Vera Barbadensis Miller is edible, and only after the plant has reached the age of 2 years.
- 2-3 cm of aloe vera leaf or 40 ml pure aloe vera juice
- ½ banana
- ½ teaspoon royal jelly;
- 3 slices of fresh pineapple;
- 10 fresh spinach leaves;
- 1 teaspoon lemon;
- 1 teaspoon shelled hemp seeds;
- 1 pinch of turmeric;
- 1 tablespoon blueberries;
- ½ cup of organic vegetable milk or plain water
Chop the aloe vera leaf, peel off the skin and place the gel in the bowl of the blender.
Add the fruit (cleaned, washed) and the rest of the ingredients.
Turn on the blender for a few seconds, just long enough for the ingredients to crush and mix.
You can add honey to taste if you want a sweeter smoothie.
Aloe vera smoothie can be enjoyed fresh every morning on an empty stomach.
