If you do get a coughing cold, you can try the following onion and sugar cough suppressant. After all, onions are an excellent cure for coughs and colds.
What do you need?
- 1 onion
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 glass of water
How to make it?
Clean and slice the onion. Then add about a cup of granulated sugar. The key here is to make sure the sugar covers the onion slices completely.
Next, add half a glass of water to the sugared onion and heat up in a small saucepan.
Cook for 7 minutes, stirring constantly, until it becomes syrupy.
Store the homemade cough syrup in a tightly sealed glass jar for a few days after straining.
