Almost every plant needs soil rich in nutrients, especially during active growing or blooming period.
In florist’s shops you can buy a variety of nutrients, but in many cases these are too expensive. Today we are going to to introduce you to using an everyday product for this purpose.
Plant food for houseplants
What you will need
- 10 g of yeast
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 liter of lukewarm water
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in water, mix well and allow to stand for at least 2 hours. Dilute the prepared mixture with water in a 1:5 ratio. Feed your houseplants with the nutrient once a month during the autumn and winter, and once in 10 days during the spring and summer.
Yeast stimulates microorganisms in the soil, which has a very good effect on roots and flowers.
