An opera singer wowed the judges and the audience with his breathtaking performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
Innocent Masuku, a South African-born, London-based opera singer, recently showcased his incredible talent on the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent. He completely impressed the jury and the audience with his production, and he passed with four enthusiastic votes.
Despite being advised in the past to give up on his ambitions as an opera singer as it won’t take him far in the field, Masuku remained faithful to his dream and proved his critics wrong.
His talent has already brought him numerous awards in the profession, and now he was able to prove himself on the stage of the British talent show. Masuku performed Lucio Dalla’s “Caruso” at the audition and received high praise from all four judges.
Amanda Holden, visibly moved by his performance, declared that he was by far the best opera singer to ever appear on the show, which is no small compliment considering that Britain’s Got Talent has previously graced the stage with huge talents such as Paul Potts and Susan Boyle.
Simon Cowell also called the production fantastic and affirmed that Masuku clearly deserves this chance. Although the four ‘yes’ votes advanced the contestant to the next phase, many viewers were disappointed that none of the jury members pressed the golden buzzer and did not send the singer directly to the live show.
