Ingredients
- 2 kg lemon
- 4 kg sugar
- 2 vanilla sticks
Preparation
First wash the lemons with a sponge soaked in warm water and a small amount of detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Cut them in half, place them in a plastic bowl and soak them in water overnight.
The next day, cut the lemons into slices, add the sugar and vanilla sticks, and cook covered with water over medium heat until a fairly thick syrup is formed. Stir regularly to prevent sticking.
After cooking, pour the jam into jars and seal the jars tightly. You can sterilize the jars by placing them in a pot of boiling water, so the jam can be kept longer.
