Why can’t vinegar be used on every type of surface?

Household vinegar is actually a weak acid, so it has its adverse effects. For example, if you’re constantly using vinegar to clean your wooden or metal furniture, or even your wallpaper, it can leave a mark over time, not to mention the fact that vinegar can even irritate the eyes and mucous membranes, so it can also be harmful to your health if you use it too much.

Is lukewarm water a problem too?

Lukewarm or warm water is not the best solution for all cleaning shores. When cleaning mold, for example, it’s not at all enough to just use water to clean the affected surface, because with only water you won’t get rid of the mold spores completely, and they’ll grow back eventually.

On the other hand, a paste-like cleaner made from white vinegar and baking soda is an easy way to fight mold.
