Here are the affirmations you should say to yourself every morning for the rest of this year.

1. I will not always be a priority to those around me and therefore I must be a priority to myself. I promise to learn to respect myself, take care of myself, make myself happy and support myself unconditionally. I matter. I no longer wait for others to choose me. I choose myself day by day, moment by moment.

2. I love what I do until I can say I do what I love. I love my path in life, I love where I am now. I love the people I’m with. I live in the present and enjoy every moment on this earth.

3. I am proud of myself. I am proud of the strength I have discovered in my soul lately. I am proud of how far I have come. I’ve been through so much and grown incredibly. I’m proud for everything I’ve been able to do so far.

4. I’m not the same person I was a year ago. Nor the same person I was a month ago. I’m also not the same person I was a week ago. I grow, evolve, transform and change. Experiences never end. With each moment I become a better version of myself.

5. I do not want to eliminate all the negative thoughts, all the pain, all the problems from my life. That is impossible. My goal is to change the way I look at difficult moments and how I react to unpleasant situations. I promise not to let these overwhelm me; instead, I want to learn from them, deal with them, and move on with my life.

6. Happiness is here and now. I do not look for it in the future, but try to find it in the present moment. Happiness starts with me, with the little things that bring me joy, with those moments when my heart smiles and my soul is at peace.
