Homemade orange jam recipe
Ingredients
- 500 g orange flesh (about 1.5 kg of oranges)
- 200 g sugar (or the equivalent amount of sweetener)
- The juice and zest of 1 organic orange juice and the juice of 1/2 lemon
Preparation
Peel the oranges. This phase is the easiest and fastest if you use a vegetable peeler. You have to make sure to completely remove all the white parts.
Separate the wedges and completely remove the inner skin, adding only the flesh of the oranges into the pot.
Add the orange zest and lemon and the juice of the orange, sugar or sweetener and cook for about 40-45 minutes. If you prefer smooth consistency, puree it with a blender at the end.
