Mihaela Rădulescu has shared an emotional message following the tragic death of her longtime partner, Felix Baumgartner. In a heartfelt post published on Saturday, the Romanian TV star revealed that Baumgartner died “doing what he loved most—flying”, in a place they had visited together multiple times. She held his hand in his final moments, urging him to fight—“The first fight he lost…,” she wrote.
Baumgartner, a world-renowned Austrian skydiver and BASE jumper, passed away at age 56 following a paragliding accident in Porto Sant’Elpidio on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
According to Italian reports, he crashed into a hotel swimming pool, injuring a young woman nearby. An autopsy later confirmed he suffered cardiac arrest mid-flight, which caused him to lose control of the glider as it suddenly spun and crashed.

Mihaela’s tribute: “I am lost without him”
In her deeply moving message, Mihaela described Baumgartner as not only an international icon but a vibrant soul who brought light to everyone who knew him:
“For the World, a Legend who inspired so many and achieved so much…,” she wrote.
“For his friends and family, the most loved and admired, the most positive, respectful, full of life and joy kid, and the most focused and organized adult when working on anything. For his fans, the Hero always smilling back to them, always having time for them, always happy to feel their love.”
Reflecting on their 13-year relationship, she honored the man behind the legend: “For me… the man who loved me like crazy for 13 years, the extraordinary man I loved beyond words, the REAL MAN I respected and had the best time of my life with. And this is an understatement.
Keep telling his story, specially to your kids – in a world full of Dreamers, teach them about the Dreamer who made all his dreams come true, working damn hard for every single one of them.
Thank you to everyone who payed respect and showed support for me and his Mom and Dad, for his family and our real good friends.”

She also described the moment of his passing with raw emotion: “He died doing what he loved the most – flying – in a happy place we came for the third time, with me holding his hands and shouting at him to FIGHT. The first fight he lost…
I am lost without him. We all are, the people who were blessed to have him in our lives.
I wrote this for him. Pay your respect for FELIX. This unique man deserves the best of all our hearts, thoughts and prayers….”

Felix Baumgartner rose to global fame in October 2012 when he performed a historic freefall jump from the stratosphere, breaking the sound barrier and setting multiple records. He became a symbol of courage and human potential, inspiring millions around the world.
Baumgartner had been in a relationship with Mihaela Rădulescu since 2014, after the two met during an interview for Red Bull. Their romance was confirmed publicly later that year, and they remained one of the most admired international couples for over a decade.
