According to a doctor, certain ear symptoms could be a sign of one of the world’s fastest-growing cancers

Dr. Jiri Kubes, an oncologist in Prague, warned about the fact that head and neck cancers are still under-diagnosed, despite the alarming increase in the number of cases. He has discovered a symptom that could be a sign of this type of tumor, one the world’s fastest-growing cancers. While the symptom doesn’t necessarily point to the existence of cancer in the body, it is certainly important to consider it.

According to Dr. Kubes, early diagnosis is essential: the sooner the head and neck cancers are detected, the better the outcome of the treatment.

The oncologist explained that persistent ear congestion could be a sign that something is wrong.

“This is a similar feeling to the one you might get after diving into a swimming pool. Stubborn earache also could be a sign there’s cancer around that area,” he explained, adding that persistent earaches can also be a sign of cancer.

But it’s not just your ears that should be paid close attention to. Persistently sore gums and mouth sores can also be signs of cancer, and toothaches and white or red patches in the mouth can also be telltale signs.

A sore throat that lasts more than two weeks, a change in the voice or persistent hoarseness can be serious warning signs. There are other common symptoms that people often ignore, such as excessive night sweats, which can be a sign of leukemia or lymphoma.

While none of these symptoms necessarily mean cancer, it’s important to know that they can be signs of a serious problem, so it is important to have the necessary examinations performed.
